Indian Journal of Health Studies is published by Association of Health Psychologists. The journal was launched in July 2019. It is an online peer reviewed open access biannual journal. The objective of the journal is to bring in the multi-disciplinary perspective to health sciences. The journal makes an effort to bring research in the field of health from various disciplines such as Health Psychology, Medical Anthropology, Medical Sociology, Health Policies, Ayurveda, Unani, Medical Sciences, Nursing Sciences and Public Health into one platform. Dissemination of information from multi-disciplinary field is expected to benefit researchers in the field of health in general and promote the Biopsychosocial approach to health in all areas. The journal publishes articles of various types such as empirical studies, review article, projects in progress, book reviews related to the area of health. THE ASSOCIATION
The Association of Health Psychologists (AHP) is launched with the aim of promoting teaching, training practice and research in the field of Health Psychology. Health Psychology being an upcoming branch in India has a lot of potential for application in the field of health practices and research. The Association strives to identify the best practices in Biopsychosocial model of health across the globe both in research and practice. Professional working in different areas of health such as Health Psychology, Medical Sociology, Medical Anthropology, Ayurveda, Unani, Medical Sciences and Nursing Sciences are members in the Association. The Association provides a platform to discuss debate and disseminate information on indigenous research from various disciplines in the area of health. The objective is to promote multi-disciplinary approach both in research and practice of health care.
